The traditional opening ceremony includes a procession in academic regalia or Medieval and Renaissance inspired clothing, a brief welcome speech, a reading from Chaucer in Middle English by Dr. Robin A. Bowers (English Department), a poem by Phillip F. O’Mara of Bridgewater College, and the singing of Gaudeamus Igitur. All are welcome to join us as we kick off the 28th Annual Medieval & Renaissance Forum.
