Dr. Wavell Fogleman, Professor of Chemistry will lead this discussion about environmental science and forensics. Environmental Forensics is a combination of environmental science and forensic science. Professionals trained in the field are specialists in solving environmental issues such as who might responsible for environmental problems, when did it begin, who was or might be impacted.
This discussion will explore methods used in environmental forensics as well as share case examples of current applications of environmental forensics.
The 2008-2009 lecture series covers a wide range of topics from a diverse group of speakers. Topics will include environmental economics, climate change, acid rain, and forensic chemistry.
