Main level, Lamson Library and Learning Commons
The Lamson Library and Learning Commons is pleased to welcome the exhibition Explore Other Lands: A Journey into the Arab World by Najwa O’Hara.
The exhibition features a selection of 20 items including spices, copper and silver work, and beautiful tea and coffee accessories.
Ms. O’Hara was born in Mosul, a small city in northern Iraq. She is currently an MBA student and member of the Fellowship Program at PSU.

Lamson Library Print Series
Opening Event: Wednesday, September 17, 4-6 p.m. Printmakers from New Hampshire, Maine, and Vermont present works in collaboration with the Art of Democracy, which is a national coalition of political art exhibitions all taking place in the Fall of 2008 on the State of the American Political Scene. Venture Center Fall 2008 SOAR Trip Programs
This weekend trip is open to any PSU student who is interested in learning how to surf. The trip includes 2 days of surfing in the Cod National Seashore and 2 nights tent camping at Nickerson State Park. The course is targeted toward participants who have limited to no surfing experience; however, experienced surfers are welcome. Mandatory pre-trip meeting: Wednesday; Sept. 24, 2008 @ 5:30PM in HUB 123. Visit the Venture Center web site for registration information.

Smith Recital Hall, Silver Center
Ms. Brock-Broido, is the director of poetry at Columbia University and the author of three collections of poetry: Trouble in Mind (2004), The Master Letters (1995) and A Hunger (1988). Described by the critic Stephen Burt as an “elliptical poet,” she has received many honors, including the Witter-Bynner Prize for Poetry, the Jerome J. Shestack Poetry Prize from the American Poetry Review, two fellowships from the National Endowment for the Arts and a Guggenheim fellowship.

The Eagle Pond Authors’ Series is presented by the Silver Center and is supported by a generous grant from the Plymouth State University Bookstore and Follett Higher Education Group.
