Lamson Library Print Series

Opening Event: Wednesday, September 17, 4-6 p.m. Printmakers from New Hampshire, Maine, and Vermont present works in collaboration with the Art of Democracy, which is a national coalition of political art exhibitions all taking place in the Fall of 2008 on the State of the American Political Scene. Heritage Commons

Hispanic Literature and Music Across History
Maestro Francesc de Paula Soler will cover six topics in this guitarist conference with selected musical pieces.  Topics will include the Camino of Santiago, the Epoch of Discovery, the Spanish Golden Age, Cervantes – the music of Don Quijote, the Spanish Guitar in the Splendor Spanish Guitar – Segovia, Yepes,  Rodrigo and more.

This conference will be primarily in Spanish, but Maestro Soler also speaks English.  The conference will last approximately one hour and will include a short question and answer session at the end. For more information contact Fawn Ouellete in the Languages and Linguistics department (535-2304). This event is open to the PSU community and the general public.
