Room 001, Boyd Science Center
A research finding is only as good as your ability to communicate it effectively. Too often great science gets lost in bad writing, both in discipline specific journals and in media intended for public consumption. Join this community discussion about ways to shape complex technical information into understandable and powerful prose so that your message doesn’t get lost in translation.
The 2008-2009 Boyd Science Colloquium Lecture Series covers a wide range of topics from a diverse group of speakers. Topics will include environmental economics, climate change, acid rain, and forensic chemistry. Please contact Steve Kahl for more information (535-3154). This event is sponsored by the Environmental Science & Policy Department and the Center for the Environment.
