Join the Women’s Studies Council for this discussion: Will the REAL Feminists Please Stand Up? Exploring Gender, Politics, Media, and The Campaign Trail in 2008.

The Presidential race and recent Party Conventions have sparked discussions about women’s issues and the sharing of ideas in ways we would have not done a few months ago. In particular, Senator Clinton’s remarkable campaign and Senator McCain’s surprise selection of Governor Palin have us reconsidering old issues and exploring new ones. The questions of what a feminism is and who can be called a feminist have entered the political arena in ways that are unprecedented. Join the Women’s Studies Council to discuss these questions and share your views with a panel of PSU faculty and staff.
