Silver Center for the Arts

Opening Reception: October 15, 4-6 p.m. The Brown Company Photographic Collection documents the history of the Brown Company paper mill of Berlin, NH from the late 19th century through the mid-1960s. Much of the collection chronicles the social, cultural, and recreational lives of the workers, their families, and the place of these people in the life of the city of Berlin.

Karl Drerup Art Gallery

Opening Reception: October 22, 4-6 p.m. Perhaps every work of art is somehow a self portrait— an experience of externalizing an internal story that seeks to be understood in the light of consciousness, first by its creator and second by a wider audience. Within the genres of photography, video, and new media, this exhibition celebrates a very particular journey where the uncharted territory is an exploration of the artist’s own body, mind, and spirit. Curated by Chehalis Hegner, Adjunct Faculty.

Plan your holiday gift giving now with great gift ideas for under $10!

The Financial Aid Team is sponsoring this free and fun PSU Community event to provide students, faculty, and staff with great gift ideas that can be made without “breaking the bank”, after all….isn’t it the thought that really counts?

In addition to displaying samples of gifts, each attendee will receive a free CD which will include a listing of the gifts displayed as well as instructions needed to make them!

Ten free raffle tickets will be given to each attendee. These tickets may be used to enter a drawing for a chance to win any of the gifts on display. Drawings will be held at 6:30 p.m.  You do not need to be present to win.
