The Role of Science in Public Policy presented by Robert Snelling
Mr. Snelling received his BS degree in Civil Engineering from Tufts University in 1962 and his MS in Environmental Engineering from the University of Cincinnati in 1963. He retired in 2000 after a 36-year career in environmental engineering and science with the U.S. Public Health Service, the Federal Environmental Protection Agency and Lockheed Martin Corporation.
Since relocating to Holderness in June 2000 he has been active as a volunteer docent and Trustee with the Squam Lakes Natural Science Center, serving as Chairman from 2003 to 2006. He has served as a member of the Holderness Planning Board since 2003 and currently serves as Vice Chairman. He represents Holderness on the Lakes Region Planning Commission and currently serves as Commission Chairman. In 2005 he was appointed to the Governor’s Shoreland Protection Commission, and is currently serving on the State Groundwater Commission.
