Alumni Green in front of HUB

Litter once again abounds in our lovely town of Plymouth, and so, after a brief hiatus, Plymouth Pick-Uppalooza is returning! With a simple challenge to all members of the Plymouth State University community, faculty, staff, administrators, and students alike: take just one walk with a plastic grocery bag around the town and campus and fill it with the litter you
find. (actually, we recommend two bags: one for litter and one for recycling)

To provide a little extra motivation to take up the challenge, if you toss your bag into the pile at The Big Pile Up, you be entered to win one of several raffle prizes!

Karl Drerup Art Gallery

On Wednesday, December 5, 2012, at 7:00 the Karl Drerup Art Gallery is proud to present a reading from Landaff Days, Sketches from New Hampshire’s North Country by Don Wharton. The readings are of sketches Don has written since moving to town of Landaff, New Hampshire. The forests, fields, mountains, weather, wildlife and people are the particular subjects of his sketches of rural life “North of the Notch”. He writes of a very special landscape and environment-at once inviting and challenging, beautiful and fierce at the same time. In Wharton’s view Landaff is a microcosm of the larger natural world, having its own beauty, rigors and mystery. He writes with humor, empathy, realism and wonder as he explores and illuminates life in the North Country in Landaff Days.
