The Leave No Trace Master Educator Course is an informative, practical, experiential way to learn about Leave No Trace and how to teach it to others. The goal of the Leave No Trace educational program is to avoid or minimize impacts to natural area resources and help ensure a positive recreational experience for all visitors. The five-day Master Educator course is designed for individuals who are actively teaching others backcountry skills or providing recreation information to the public. Through classroom discussions and a four-day backpacking experience, you’ll learn in-depth about Leave No Trace skills and ethics– how to practice them yourself and how to teach others to understand and minimize their impact.

This course is ideal for land managers, outdoor educators, outdoor retailers, volunteer trip leaders, youth group and outing club leaders, and other individuals dedicated to responsible enjoyment of our public lands. Graduates are qualified to teach Leave No Trace Trainer Courses and Awareness Workshops. The LNT Master Educator training is recognized and valued throughout the outdoor industry.
