The RSS feeds available are for today’s events and for comments. Subscribe to either or both of them using your feed reader’s add or subscribe instructions.
Our feeds are listed at the very bottom of ThisWeek@PSU.
The iCal file is what you grab from ThisWeek@PSU and load so you can see all of the events on your favorite calendar.
Below we listed just three of the more popular calendar applications that play well with iCal files.
Loading events into your myPlymouth calendar:
- On ThisWeek@PSU, click on the iCal icon above the current month and between the previous and next months.
- A dialogue box will open asking what should be done with the ThisWeekPSU.ics iCalendar file. Click save it to disk and click ok. By default it will save the file to your desktop.
- Open your calendar – click on the Options tab and select import on the left hand side.
- Under Import you will see Event Destination – Add events to: Select your calendar – Import format is iCal – Locate the file that was downloaded to your desktop named “ThisWeekPSU.ics” and click on it to select it – click open and select date range (either import all events or select a range to only add events up to a certain date). Done!
Loading events into your Google calendar:
- On ThisWeek@PSU, click on the iCal icon above the current month and between the previous and next months.
- A dialogue box will open asking what should be done with the ThisWeekPSU.ics iCalendar file. Click save it to disk and click ok. By default it will save the file to your desktop.
- Sign into your gmail account and bring up your Google calendar. Click on the link “manage calendars†on the left-hand side underneath my calendars. o Click on the Import calendar tab – In the Select File box browse to locate the ThisWeekPSU.ics file that was downloaded your desktop. Choose Calendar to load it to (you may want to go back and create ThisWeek@PSU first to load it to). Then click import and all of the events will be in your Google calendar.
Loading events into your iPod calendar:
- On ThisWeek@PSU, click on the iCal icon above the current month and between the previous and next months.
- A dialogue box will open asking what should be done with the ThisWeekPSU.ics iCalendar file. Click save it to disk and click ok. By default it will save the file to your desktop.
- Plug in your iPod (see the Apple site to determine whether your iPod model is capable) and click on your My Computer icon. You should see your iPod listed as a drive. Double-Click on it to open it – there should be a Calendar folder. Drag the ThisWeekPSU.ics file and drop it into the Calendar folder.
